The Haemovigilance Association of Ireland (HAI) was set up in order to support and promote professional development of its members.

Its main objectives are:

  • the establishment of an education programme,
  • exploration of the career structure of the haemovigilance officer,
  • to improve the communication network between haemovigilance officers nation-wide.

Membership is €20 per annum and is open to anyone working in haemovigilance or a related area. Meetings of the steering group are 3-4 times annually. Feedback from those meetings is brought to the regional group meetings by the representing member.
